The staff were friendly, helpful and they engaged with my daughter, which matters when you are a parent with a 5 year old. The room was not huge, but it was very clean, decorated well and worked. The breakfast was good, the breakfast staff were lovely and let me have breakfast even though I was late as my iPhone hadn’t changed the time zone!! I was complaining to them as they were putting the breakfast away as I hadn’t realised breakfast had closed as I was an hour out of time and she still brought things back out and she couldn’t have been nicer about it. I have stayed in many of the hotels in this area over the last 15 years and this is the best, maybe just the Holiday Inn on Rue de Lyon is comparable which is a 4 Star and a little bigger but in my experience not as friendly and accommodating as this one. A little gem in my view, and I have been to/through Paris maybe 25 - 30 times and always stayed in this area.

I had an extra 3 nights before my group trip and the 4th night paid through the group tour. I got a small but comfortable room with a balcony (outdoor table + chair) on 4th floor facing the side street. Quiet, good light, fresh air. The bathroom shower is small, but luckily I am a small person, so it was fine for me. "Average " person would be very uncomfortable in that shower. The staff was very helpful and nice, the bed was very comfortable, I slept well ( came from San Francisco... after a very long flight). Nice breakfast, plenty of choices for me. If you walk out of the hotel and go left, there are many restaurant choices, good ones. (You are in France!) If you go right - there is metro Gare De Lyon, direct line - just a few stops to Le Mares, Hotel de Ville, or Notre Dame. I recommend it for single travelers (as I travelled alone).

really good location with transport lines nearby and easy access to the rest of the city. Felt it was a good location to be in and never felt that we had to compromise due to time. Also, very safe location to be arriving late never felt uncomfortable. The accommodation itself was really good for the price, clean and secure. I would just say that if you ask for your room to be clean still request new towels in our experience new towels were upon request but not standards. This makes sense as the hotel is trying to reduce its environmental impact, I appreciated that they were eco-conscious and encourage guests to do the same.

The staff is amazing first and foremost. It is literally 2 blocks from Gare de Lyon and the neighborhood is very safe (there are also several other metro stops within a 10 minute walk (like Bastile). The room is not huge and the lift is small, but it does have a lift. Breakfast is actually reasonably price compared to the local restaurants so I chose to have the breakfast (around $14 a day). It does have air conditioning so that is huge, especially it was warm out when I visited. I would stay here again.

Amazing location. We came for the weekend to see Depeche Mode at the Accors Areana, and it was just a stones throw. I've been to Paris many time before, and was wanting to spend time in Belleville and Le Marais, away from the tourist traps. This was the perfect stay, and allowed us to explore the hidden gems. The hotel team were lovely on arrival, and we were surprised they were there at reception when we left at 5.30AM in the morning. Would definitely stay again!
